New Skincare Products

Back in June I wrote a “Skincare Wishlist” post. Shortly after writing, I ended up caving in and purchasing some SK-II products. They’ve been on my wishlist for quite some time but I’ve been so hesitant of the price tag. I’ve honestly never heard anyone say anything bad about the line though so I figured, “What the heck!”, and just went for it.

I purchased a “starter” kit from Saks Fifth Ave. which included a mini facial treatment clear lotion and a decently sized treatment essence. I’ve been using both product since August and I definitely notice a difference.

Here’s a break down of my beauty routine.

  1. I start off using the clear lotion after I cleanse my face. I always make sure all makeup is removed and my face is as clean as I can get before I start my skin regime! This product is specifically designed to be the starter to your regime. It preps the skin for whatever products you have in your skin care routine. This product helps with dullness, uneven skintone and uneven skin texture. You can use a cotton pad to apply this, but I just pour a little into the palm of my hand and work it all over my face.
  2. After that has dried, I move onto the treatment essence. The essence is what I consider to be the star of show. It does what the clear lotion claims plus more. It helps improve the texture and clarity of your skin tone, while adding moisture. This really helps in making your skin more glowy and radiant. Β  It has Pitera which they claim enhances the skin’s renewal process.
  3. I finish off my regime by using Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution. Like I’ve mentioned many times before, I have a lot of acneΒ scarring and hyperpigmentation. I’ve noticed quite an improvement with this product. In combination of the SK-II products, I feel like my skin has gotten much softer, the texture has greatly improved and the scarring is fading. What I like most about the Kiehl’s product is that it’s light and absorbs nicely into my skin.

Have you added something new to your routine? Have you used any of the above products? What are some products you’ve been wanting to try out? Let me know in the comments below!

    1. Yeah, it’s been on my wishlist for ages and I’m finally at the point where I want just the best products so I caved it! So far, it’s totally worth the price tag so no regrets on my end lol

  1. The treatment Essence is amazing. I, too, had my eye on it for a long time. I bought it at the last Sephora VIB sale & I LOVE it. Made a huge change in my skin. So, so pricy! But I don’t mind splurging on skincare if it works.
