What’s in my everyday makeup bag? Spring edition!

Living in Florida calls for a pretty extensive makeup bag. And when “spring” time hits sunny Orlando, I have to make sure I’m fully prepared and packed for everything I need! Let’s take a look at what I bring with me on a regular basis.

This Kiehl’s cream deodorant Β is a game changer. I hate to admit it, but I’m a victim of sweaty pits. Fortunately for me Kiehl’s makes a pretty stellar deodorant cream that fights the sweats. I carry this with me just in case I need it and it’s pretty light weight to carry around.

My signature scent is Elizabeth and James’ Nirvana Black. Β I’ve been wearing this since it first came out. I’m honestly hooked; I always seem to gravitate more towards this perfume. It’s also my good luck scent because it’s what I always wore when I first started dating my fiance. I prefer Nirvana Black from the White because Black is a bit sweeter, with hints of vanilla and sandalwood.

In the spring I tend to wear shirts that wrinkle so I carry the Downy Wrinkle Releaser spray for quick “touch ups”. Right now we’re in the midst of allergy season so I make sure I have Zyrtec with me. Also with the crazy weather changes and pollen, my migraines go into overdrive so I HAVE to have Excedrin with me. Floss, my friends, is just also a good thing to carry with you. And then because I commute via train to work, I have my trusty train card.

Almost every girl carries around way too many lip products and I am no exception. Here are my current favorites. Of course, my Tom Ford Spanish Pink is always around. That baby never leaves my side and it’s particularly perfect for spring!

For face products, I make sure I have my Too Faced Primed & Poreless Face Powder. This is ESSENTIAL for touch ups! (Especially for an oily human like me!) and I’ve been carrying around the Kylie Cosmetics Kylighter in French Vanilla when I need to touch up that glow!

Then lastly, we have the random bits. I have peppermint essential oil for when I have headaches and Chinese White Flower oil for headaches as well. Then I have a little comb for my eyelashes since I have eyelash extensions. I ALWAYS have eyeliner with me because my eyeliner never seems to last and last but not least, a pen. Because you always have to have a pen with you!

What are some of your spring time essentials you always make sure you have in your makeup bag? Anything I use that’s a must have for you? Anything you recommend or what to try? Let me know in the comments below!

Until next time,

  1. Haha it’s so true with the lip products in our purses! I think there’s at least 7 lip colors in mine at this moment. Love the view of things outside of beauty products in your bag!

  2. Hey Kimberly, loved this. I am going to New York in July and watch lots of YouTube vids on make up so I’m looking forward to buying some brands. There are some which are costly to buy over here! x

    1. How exciting! New York is a great place as well, especially for makeup shopping. If you have a chance, china town has several really good Asian beauty stores that have some great products that are sometimes hard to get ahold of

    1. It’s a bit pricey but for me, it’s definitely worth it. I haven’t really found a drugstore product that’s helped. I used Sure for years but it stopped working. It’s a little different using a cream but you get used to it fast

    1. I don’t love it but I don’t hate it. There’s definitely WAY better highlighters out there. I may be too pale for this color as well. I would say skip on this product. I love her lip products and eyeshadows but this just didn’t do anything for me. Especially when we have brands like becca and Anastasia that make stellar highlighters

    2. I personally feel if you want highlights, then @beccacosmetics and @colourpop is your best bet. The highlights are bright and you have a range of colors to choose from. πŸ™‚

  3. I used to swear by Kiehl’s cream deodorant – it’s really effective but I found the cream formula to be a bit messy.
Allergy season is starting here too… I take Reactine. Sorry to hear that you suffer from migraines. Tell me more about Chinese White Flower oil for headaches – what does it smell like?
Haha I can’t believe how many lipsticks you carry with you! πŸ˜€

    1. I thought it was a bit messy at first but I realized I was applying to much which is so easy for a cream.
White flower has lavender and mint in it which is great for headaches. I smell it and rub some behind my ears and on my temples. I generally get stuffy when I get migraines so smelling the white flower oil helps with congestion. You can also use it for minor pains, kinda like tiger balm.

And I know I carry waaaaay to many lip products! There probably like four more products floating in my bag… πŸ™ˆ
